THE AREA
Thwaite is surrounded by the most marvellous upland scenery that has made Swaledale internationally famous.
A narrow valley with steep sided slopes leading to high moorland.
With many mountain streams tumbling over waterfalls to admire.
Miles and miles of stone walls with barns dotted here, there, and everywhere. Whilst many visitors will be content just to relax, others may want to walk on the many footpaths that are here.
The Pennine Way passes through Thwaite, and the section from here to Keld over Kisdon Hill, is renowned for the unforgettable views.
